These homemade paleo and keto CBD gummies deliver both soothing benefits and real nutrition. They’re chewy, flavorful little treats made with calming CBD and grass-fed collagen for a cleaner, more nourishing gummy than many store-bought options.

Paleo & Keto CBD Gummies
Ultra Soothing
CBD edibles have surged in popularity, and for good reason: they offer a convenient, tasty way to take cannabidiol. These gummies combine clean, paleo- and keto-friendly ingredients with CBD for a gentle, longer-lasting effect compared with fast-acting methods like vaping. They also include collagen and berry powders to boost texture, antioxidants and vitamin C.
Texturally, these gummies are pleasantly chewy — more substantial than plain flavored gelatin but a bit softer than commercial candy. The sour version is especially satisfying if you enjoy a tangy finish; the vitamin C powder combined with a low-carb sweetener creates that familiar sour gummy tang while keeping ingredients simple and healthy.
My Experience with Cannabis
I’m sharing a personal perspective on medicinal cannabis because it shaped how I approached pain and recovery. After a nerve injury in 2018 that affected my sciatic nerve, I explored conventional and holistic options while rebuilding mobility. Standard painkillers offered limited relief, so I turned to complementary therapies, including cannabis-based products and other integrative treatments. Over many months I learned that cannabis can help manage neuropathic pain and also ease anxiety and insomnia that often accompany chronic conditions.
I experimented with tinctures, transdermal patches, vapes and edibles, using both pure CBD and blends with THC. For many people, pure CBD helps with anxiety and sleep, while combinations of CBD and THC can sometimes provide stronger pain relief. Everyone’s response is different, so dosing and product choice should be individualized.
CBD and THC Basics
Cannabidiol (CBD) interacts with the endocannabinoid system without producing the intoxicating “high” associated with THC. It’s widely used for conditions such as chronic pain, anxiety and sleep disturbances. Evidence also suggests that CBD combined with some THC can be more effective for certain types of neuropathic pain—an effect often called the “entourage effect.”
For my own neuropathic pain I found a combination approach helpful: a high-CBD tincture with a small THC ratio and 1:1 transdermal patches provided real relief without impairment. Still, many pure CBD formulations are beneficial for anxiety and sleep. Always test products and doses carefully and consult a healthcare professional if you have medical concerns.

My personal favorites include high-quality CBD tinctures, transdermal patches and targeted sleep formulations. For acute neuropathic flares a vape or fast-acting product with a balanced CBD:THC ratio helped me quickly. Again, product choice depends on availability, local laws and individual sensitivity.
How to Make Keto CBD Gummies
These gummies are surprisingly simple. Prepare a batch of keto gummies (gelatin, juice or flavored powder, and sweetener), then whisk in your CBD oil at the end, pour into silicone molds and chill. Larger molds are easier to fill; cannabis leaf or gummy bear molds both work. Take care when dosing: CBD concentration varies by product, so calculate how much oil you add based on your tested serving size.

Key Ingredients
At its core, the recipe needs gelatin (not collagen), a flavoring liquid or powder (fruit powders, tea infusions, fresh juice or extracts) and a low-carb sweetener. I like adding pure vitamin C powder for a true gummy flavor and extra sour or tart versions. For a firmer, nutrient-rich bite, use grass-fed gelatin.
- Gelatin: use gelatin packets or a high-quality grass-fed gelatin. Collagen alone will not gel.
- Flavor: powdered berries (raspberry is a favorite), lemon extract, matcha for color, or brewed tea or fresh juice for natural flavoring.
- Vitamin C powder: gives sour gummies that tangy finish and boosts nutrition; citric or ascorbic acid both work.

Best Sweeteners
I tested xylitol, monk fruit, allulose and erythritol. Allulose produced the best gummy texture and closest sugar-like taste without crystallizing. Monk fruit or stevia can work but are much sweeter in smaller amounts. Xylitol is acceptable but be cautious if you have pets—xylitol is toxic to dogs. Erythritol tends to crystallize when melted and is less reliable for gummies.
Sweeten to taste, remembering that gummies can lose a bit of perceived sweetness after setting. Start slightly sweeter than you expect and adjust in future batches.

Sour Gummy Candy
The sour coating is simply a mixture of allulose (or another preferred sweetener) and vitamin C powder. Toss the fresh gummies in the coating immediately and enjoy right away: because these are not dried and they lack anti-caking agents, the coating will absorb moisture over time and lose its texture.

(Homemade!) Paleo & Keto CBD Gummies

5 mins
30 mins
10 mins
150 gummy bears
Ingredients
For the keto CBD gummies
- 1 batch keto gummies (gelatin + flavor + sweetener)
- CBD tincture — amount depends on your tested dose (I used 5 ml in my batch)
Special equipment
- Silicone gummy bear molds (yields about 150)
- Cannabis leaf silicone mold (yields about 20)
Instructions
For the keto CBD gummies
- Make a batch of keto gummies by dissolving gelatin in your flavored liquid and adding your sweetener. Heat gently until everything is dissolved and smooth.
- Remove from heat and whisk in the CBD oil at the end, ensuring it is evenly distributed. Work quickly while the mixture is still pourable.
- Pour the mixture into a bowl and use a gumdrop or dropper to fill the silicone molds. Allow the molds to reach room temperature for about 15 minutes, then chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or until set.
- Store finished gummies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
- Note on dosing: CBD dosage varies widely by product and individual. Test a small dose to determine what works for you. For example, a low personal dose might be 0.25 ml; if you make 20 gummies, multiply the single-dose amount by 20 to determine total oil to add.
Notes
Nutrition was estimated using raspberry powder. As a guideline, 25 gummy bears from this recipe equal approximately 1.5 g net carbs.
